Meet the Team
James Bullock
CEO
James has been in the Security Industry for over 25 years. As CEO, he takes overall
responsibility for business strategies and even though he is CEO, he leads by
example and can be seen at major events working alongside the Anubis Group staff.
James successfully achieved a Level 4 in Anti-Terrorism through St Andrews
University and represents the company at SIA workshops. He maintains his skills as
a medic by deploying regularly at events and is an accomplished first aid trainer. He
is also a skilled operator in Close Protection and has led several teams throughout
the UK. James has extensive experience with operational planning and strategic
command & control of some of the largest UK Events, including the Royal Wedding,
COP26 as well as numerous large festivals and events across the UK. He operates
under the principle that well-cared-for and valued staff will deliver a far better service
to the clients. James is also qualified in IOSH Health & Safety Management & Level
5 Crowd Management.
Micheala Martin
Finance Manager
Micheala has been working Finance in the Security Industry since 2016. As Finance
Manager she takes overall responsibility for invoicing and payroll as well as
compliance to HR Best Practice. Micheala works closely with the operations team to
focus on client satisfaction and continued growth. Micheala has obtained
qualifications in computing, accounts and Sage. She is fundamental in striving to
continually improve and develop the systems and processes which are required to support the business as it grows. Micheala’s previous roles include working with the local government and NHS Lanarkshire. She is driven and likes to lead by example.
Stacey McCallum
Scheduling & Control Room Manager
Stacey is Anubis Group’s Scheduling Manager; being responsible for building all
rotas/shifts and liaising with our clients and staff.
Stacey previously worked as an Administrator in the charity sector for 12 years
before joining the Security Industry in April 2021. She is experienced in HR,
fundraising, and Health & Safety which has helped strengthen Anubis Group policies
and procedures; a key focus of the ACS scheme and also the Health and Safety
Executive. Stacey’s previous compliance role within the industry has made her
instrumental in the running of our head office in Scotland, assisting the Finance
Manager and CEO on a daily basis.
Outside of the office you can find Stacey spending time with her family and friends
and climbing mountains. She loves sports (especially football) & the great outdoors.
Stacey successfully made it to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro (the highest free-
standing mountain in the world) in 2022 raising nearly £10,000 for the charity - Guide
Dogs. She is currently planning her next adventure.
Kayra Hughes
Vetting Administrator
Kayra joined the Security Industry in 2023 as an Administration Officer. Previous to
this, she had a wide background of working in the Sales industry and studying
Marketing at Glasgow City College. Kayra has to our Vetting Administrator which
includes completing all screening internally at Anubis Group and also tackles day to day operations working closely with the Operations Managers. Kayra also has her SIA license and has obtained the BS7858 qualification ensuring that all vetting and screening is completed at this level. Outside of work, Kayra enjoys travelling back to Turkey to visit her family and going on long walks with her dog Otis.
Mark Townend
Operations Manager
Mark has a vast amount of experience in the Security Industry, as well as working in
Customer Satisfaction areas. In his role as Operations Manager, he closely
collaborates with all ground staff and maintains regular communication with clients.
Having started as a Static Guard himself, Mark possesses a deep understanding of
the various roles and responsibilities within the industry. He is committed to ensuring
that all clients have the most suitable solutions in place and conducts regular review
meetings to make any necessary adaptations to the solutions.
Outside of work, Mark is a competitive Powerlifter and has represented Team GB in
International competitions. In addition, he has ventured into the realm of
Bodybuilding, maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle.
Mark's experience in both security and customer satisfaction, as well as his personal dedication to physical fitness, speaks volumes about his work ethic and
determination. These qualities contribute to his success as an Operations Manager,
allowing him to effectively lead his team and maintain strong client relationships.
Leon Kemp
Operations Manager
With a remarkable career spanning over a decade, Leon has demonstrated his
unwavering commitment to the industry, rising from the role of a steward and static
guard to Operations Manager. As a Level 5 Crowd Manager, he has overseen the
most challenging and intricate security deployments in event areas at some of the
largest festivals in the UK, including being a corner stone of the IOW festival for
many years. One of Leon's exceptional strengths lies in his ability to effortlessly build strong connections with staff, customers, and clients alike. This unique skill fosters trust and unity among all stakeholders, enriching the overall event experience. His addition to Anubis Group’s full time management role promises to be a driving force behind our mission to deliver exceptional event experiences. Leon’s extensive experience within the Security Industry means he has the knowledge to be able to provide clients with the best bespoke Security solution for their requirements.
Martin Henderson
Operations Manager
Martin has extensive Security Industry experience and as Area Manager covering
the North of Scotland, from Shetland to Aberdeen, Martin deals with clients and
ensures the sites were staffed on a day-to-day basis. Martin started out in the
security industry at the age of 18 working part-time in the local nightclub while
continuing with his day job. Over the years Martin progressed to the position of
General Manager of a licensed venue, arranging bands/DJs, recruitment, dealing
with staff, and the day-to-day operations of the club. Martin has managed various
windfarm sites ensuring that there is round-the-clock security 365 days per annum. Over the years Martin has built a great reputation for staffing and managing security for festivals and events, assisting with client quotes and advising on security
requirements. Martin is a great asset to the Anubis Group management team looking after all business in the north of Scotland including managing a number of Football clubs within Scotland. Martin has also completed his Spectator Safety Level 3 qualification, as well as a PFSO course.
Richard Fearnley
Operations Manager
Richard’s extensive experience within the Security Industry provides him with the
level of knowledge and hands on experience for the Operations Manager role. Richard started his career in the military as a Tank Commander. Since leaving the military Richard has had an extensive security career working all over the world. From 2012-2013 Richard worked in Ghana securing gold transportation. He has worked for many high-profile clients as a CPO, relying on his excellent industry
knowledge and interpersonal skills. Day-to-day Richard is responsible for the staffing
of multiple sites across the company’s portfolio, dealing with client accounts and HR related queries from staff. Richard also heads up and takes the responsibility for our fleet and logistics. Anyone who has had the pleasure of meeting Richard will already know that he is an absolute asset to the Anubis Group team. He is very positive and always smiling which makes him a joy to be around. Richard has also completed his level 5 in Crowd Management as well as his PFSO course.
Tash Gee
Business Development Manager
Tash joins us with over 20 years customer service experience and 15 years sales
experience within a number of different industries including the security sector. Her biggest strengths are building rapports with both clients and colleagues, providing a high level of service and understanding that every client has specific requirements
and need a bespoke solution. Tash has worked in partnership with clients from many different sectors including retail, construction, distribution, leisure, local authority, NHS and corporate. Away from building client relationships Tash is a competitive powerlifter and has broken British records, held British Championship titles and represented Great Britain at International competitions and has also started Bodybuilding. Tash is based in our South region and will be continuing to grow our business nationally
Ricky Kenny
Training Academy Manager
Ricky has been in the Security Industry since 2017. As Head of the Training
Academy, Ricky is responsible for the training and developing our staff and striving for higher standards within the industry. Ricky has over 20 years in hospitality and the night-time economy where he has managed some of the biggest and most prestigious venues in Glasgow. In 2002 Ricky embarked on a new challenge by joining the Metropolitan Police Service, enjoying a distinguished career, and been involved in many high-profile cases and public order events. He left the MPS in 2015 to pursue career opportunities overseas. While working in the Seychelles, Ricky worked with local security companies in developing and delivering training packages. In Bogota, Colombia he was a partner in a business and worked as security on film
and television sets. Upon returning to Glasgow in 2017, Ricky began working in
security where he struck a friendship with Jonathan Colwill. Ricky is a qualified
PFSO; and also qualified in IOSH Health & Safety Management & Level 5 Crowd
Management, and Spectator Safety Level 3.
Anthony Whitehead
Festivals and Events Manager
Anthony manages our Festivals and Events Anubis Crowd Management and Events.
He understands all requirements needed for any size event/festival and has
managed some bespoke events and some of the largest festivals in the UK, taking
on a role of lead planner and offering his extensive knowledge and experience to
help drive the clients’ vision. Anthony studied at Bucks University and has completed his Level 5 Crowd Science & Risk Analysis. His strength and drive to improve the basic industry standard within crowd management is reflected in his professional capability and belief in tailor-made security solutions. Anthony entered the Security Industry following a 10 year career within the Royal Marine Commandos where he was operationally deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. Anubis Group is grateful to
